Wayne Gretzky 1982-83 Edmonton Oilers Game-Used & Signed Titan Hockey Stick - Chris Orr Provenance & JSA LOA

Outstanding early-career Wayne Gretzky game-used and personally inscribed Titan hockey stick dating to the 1982-83 Edmonton Oilers season, accompanied by a signed Letter of Authenticity and Provenance from Chris Orr, nephew of hockey legend Bobby Orr, and a Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA) confirming the authenticity of Gretzky's signature.

The white and red Titan stick bears the factory-applied "W. GRETZKY" player identification along the upper shaft and retains extensive period tape around the handle. A factory date stamp reading "NOV 17 1982" appears along the lower shaft. The stick exhibits substantial evidence of use throughout, including wear, marks and abrasions to the shaft and blade.

Most significantly, Gretzky personally inscribed the blade to Chris Orr, "To Chris, your pal, Wayne Gretzky." The autograph has been authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA), with an accompanying Letter of Authenticity.

The 1982-83 season came during the formative years of the Edmonton Oilers dynasty and was another remarkable campaign for Gretzky, who recorded 71 goals and 125 assists for 196 points while leading Edmonton to its first Stanley Cup Final.

Authentication & Provenance
The stick is accompanied by two separate Letters of Authenticity:

Chris Orr Letter of Authenticity & Provenance: A signed letter from Chris Orr, nephew of Bobby Orr, documenting his direct acquisition of the stick from Wayne Gretzky following an Edmonton Oilers game. Orr's firsthand account details Gretzky personally presenting him with the game-used stick and signing it in his presence.

James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity: An independent third-party Letter of Authenticity confirming the authenticity of Wayne Gretzky's autograph.

The stick additionally bears Gretzky's factory-applied "W. GRETZKY" player identification, a "99" marking just below the tape on the knob, and a "NOV 17 1982" factory date stamp.

Together, the firsthand provenance from Chris Orr and independent autograph authentication from JSA provide important supporting documentation for this exceptional early-career Gretzky collectible. JSA's authentication pertains to the signature, while the game-use attribution is supported by Orr's firsthand provenance.

Condition
The stick exhibits wear consistent with attributed game use, including marks, abrasions and wear throughout the shaft and blade. Original period handle tape remains present and displays considerable wear and discolouration. Please refer to photographs for complete condition details.
