The eight plates individually designed features various birds in a woodland setting. The scalloped plates are highlighted by raised gilded scroll-work to the rims. Each plate is signed by the artist Duval and has makers marks underside. The whole goes together with a late Victorian large oval platter showing roosters amongs flowers all within similar scalloped & gilded rim with raised scrollwork. The platter is signed Solis to the front and LRL (Lazeyras Rosenfeild & Lehman Studios) Limoges France underside. Dimensions, Platter: 19"x13". Plates: 9.5'' diameter
