The card depicts Bill Barilko scoring the Stanley Cup-winning goal against Montreal Canadiens goaltender Gerry McNeil on April 21, 1951. Barilko's overtime goal in Game 5 secured Toronto's fourth Stanley Cup championship in five seasons.

The moment became an enduring part of Canadian hockey history following Barilko's disappearance in a plane crash during the summer of 1951. His remains were discovered in 1962, the same year the Maple Leafs ended their 11-year Stanley Cup drought.
