1924-25 V130 Maple Crispette Georges Vezina #13

An important early card of one of hockey's most legendary goaltenders, the 1924-25 V130 Maple Crispette #13 features Montreal Canadiens icon Georges Vezina.

Vezina spent his entire NHL career with the Canadiens and became one of the game's first great goaltenders. Following his death in 1926, the NHL introduced the Vezina Trophy in his honour, creating an enduring legacy that remains synonymous with goaltending excellence today.

Issued by Maple Crispette Co. Limited of Montreal, the V130 series is a scarce 30-card Canadian hockey issue featuring black-and-white player photographs. Card backs advertised a promotion allowing collectors to exchange a complete set for a pair of skates, contributing to the scarcity of surviving examples today.

This ungraded example retains strong visual appeal for a card approaching a century in age, with a well-defined portrait and pleasing overall presentation.

The card is ungraded and has not been professionally authenticated by a third-party grading service.
