1910-11 C56 Imperial Tobacco Hockey Four-Card Lot - Poulin, Bernier, Lake & Toms

Four-card collection from the landmark 1910-11 C56 Imperial Tobacco hockey issue, featuring Skinner Poulin #24, Art Bernier #25, Fred Lake #27 and C. Toms #29.

The 36-card C56 set is one of the foundational releases in hockey card collecting, documenting many of the players and clubs from the formative years of professional hockey in Canada. Issued more than a century ago, the set is celebrated for its colourful player portraits, distinctive uniforms and historical significance within the hobby.

The group includes two early Montreal Canadiens subjects in Skinner Poulin and Art Bernier, both pictured wearing the club's distinctive blue sweaters with prominent white "C" insignia. Also included are Fred Lake of the Ottawa Hockey Club and C. Toms of the Cobalt club. Together, the four cards offer an appealing representation of several important Canadian hockey clubs from the pre-NHL era.

Authentication & Grading
All four cards are ungraded and have not been professionally authenticated by a third-party grading service.

Condition
Ungraded. All four cards exhibit varying degrees of age-related wear, including corner and edge wear, minor surface marks, light creasing and toning. The Skinner Poulin, Art Bernier and Fred Lake cards retain strong colour, clear player portraits and generally attractive overall presentation. The C. Toms card exhibits more noticeable surface wear and discolouration, particularly on the reverse, including dark marks and areas of surface disturbance. Despite these condition issues, all four cards retain vibrant imagery, with player identification and reverse text remaining clearly legible. Please refer to the photographs for individual condition details.
