Todd Stottlemyre Toronto Blue Jays Game-Used Jersey - Ripped

Official Toronto Blue Jays professional model jersey attributed to veteran pitcher Todd Stottlemyre, featuring significant visible ripping and damage consistent with reported in-game or post-game use.

The grey road jersey features classic early-1990s Toronto Blue Jays styling with “TORONTO” script across the chest, original Blue Jays logo patch, blue sleeve striping, and “STOTTLEMYRE” nameplate with player number “30” sewn to the reverse. Interior tagging remains present, including embroidered inventory/year tagging believed to date the jersey to 1993.

Of particular note is the extensive tearing and separation visible around both shoulder and upper chest areas. According to the accompanying history provided with the jersey, the garment was reportedly ripped after Todd Stottlemyre was removed from a game, contributing to the jersey’s unusual and dramatic presentation. While this backstory has not been independently verified, the jersey displays substantial visible damage and wear characteristics that create strong display appeal as a possible game-related example.

Todd Stottlemyre was an important member of the Toronto Blue Jays pitching staff during the club’s successful late-1980s and early-1990s period and was part of Toronto’s 1992 and 1993 World Series championship teams.

Authentication & Provenance
This jersey has not been submitted for third-party authentication and is offered without a Certificate of Authenticity.

The jersey retains period-style tagging and construction characteristics consistent with professional model examples from the era.

Condition
The jersey displays heavy wear throughout, including substantial ripping, tearing, seam separation, loose threading, handling wear, and age-related use consistent with either significant use or damage. Despite the condition issues, the jersey retains strong visual appeal and presents as an intriguing professional model/game-used style display piece from the Blue Jays’ championship-era period. Please refer to photographs for complete condition details.
