The collection offers a broad mix of vintage players, Yankees alumni, former All-Stars, and multi-sport athletes, highlighted by Danny Ainge — one of the few athletes to play professionally in both Major League Baseball and the NBA — alongside Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher Carl Erskine and longtime Yankees contributors such as Horace Clarke and Jake Gibbs.

Carl Erskine became one of the key pitchers of the Brooklyn Dodgers during the 1950s and played an important role in the club’s championship success. Danny Ainge remains one of the rare athletes to achieve professional success in both baseball and basketball, while Horace Clarke and Jake Gibbs became familiar names to Yankees fans during the 1960s and 1970s. Woodie Held earned recognition for his power-hitting ability as a middle infielder, and Kelvim Escobar emerged as one of the more effective pitchers of the early-2000s era. Together, the group offers strong variety and nostalgic appeal for autograph and vintage baseball collectors.

Authentication & Provenance
The Bud Metheny and Tex Clevenger baseballs are accompanied by Socci’s Sports Den Certificates of Authenticity. The Danny Ainge baseball includes a Wayne Jung Certificate of Authenticity, while the Dick Starr baseball includes a Clubhouse Certificate of Authenticity. The Homer Bush baseball includes a Southwest Connection Certificate of Authenticity, and the Woodie Held and Jake Gibbs baseballs each include J&B Sports Certificates of Authenticity.

The Jim Beattie baseball includes an accompanying Certificate of Authenticity, the Johnny Schmitz baseball includes a Midwest Sports Buffet Certificate of Authenticity, and the Kelvim Escobar baseball includes a Southwestern Connection Certificate of Authenticity.

The Carl Erskine and Horace Clarke baseballs have not been submitted for third-party authentication and are offered without Certificates of Authenticity. The signatures present consistently with known examples from the respective players.

Condition
The baseballs display light to moderate natural toning and general handling/storage wear consistent with age and long-term display. Signatures remain visible and well-presented overall throughout the collection. Please refer to photographs for complete condition details.
