This rare stoneware example features a tri-footed vase of a slightly tapered cylindrical form. The mottled green ground bears typical silver overlay depicting a female figure (possibly Amphitrite, wife of Poseidon). The figure with raised hand & perched bird is surrounded by stylized swords & staffs. Makers mark & A47 underside is also done in silver overlay. 1st quarter 20th century. Size: 9 inches x 4.75 inches
