A desirable two-piece George Brett signed memorabilia collection featuring an autographed baseball & framed display commemorating one of the most iconic moments in Major League Baseball history.
The lot includes a single-signed baseball autographed by Hall of Fame third baseman George Brett, with the signature appearing prominently on the sweet spot in blue ink. Brett remains one of the most accomplished hitters in baseball history, earning 13 All-Star selections, the 1980 American League MVP Award, membership in the prestigious 3,000-hit club, & induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999 following a legendary career spent entirely with the Kansas City Royals.
Also included is a signed framed Pine Tar Game display commemorating the famous July 24, 1983 incident at Yankee Stadium in which Brett's dramatic go-ahead home run against the New York Yankees was initially disallowed due to excessive pine tar on his bat, leading to one of the sport's most memorable on-field confrontations. The signed baseball displays light to moderate toning & age-related wear consistent with long-term storage & handling. The signature remains visible overall, though somewhat lighter than premium-grade examples.
