Hall of Famer Al Kaline remains one of the greatest players in Tigers history, earning 18 All-Star selections and more than 3,000 career hits during his legendary career in Detroit. Denny McLain famously became the last 30-game winner in Major League Baseball history during the Tigers’ 1968 championship season. Lou Whitaker was one of baseball’s premier second basemen and a longtime cornerstone of the Tigers franchise, while catcher Bill Freehan and pitcher Mickey Lolich were key members of Detroit’s World Series-winning clubs of the 1960s and 1970s.

The signatures present consistently with known examples from the respective players and originate from the Greenshields Collection, a long-held private collection assembled over many years featuring a broad selection of autographed sports memorabilia and professional model equipment.
