1954 Topps Scoop Babe Ruth "Sets Record" #41 - PSA VG-EX 4

1954 Topps Scoop #41 Babe Ruth "Sets Record," professionally authenticated and graded PSA VG-EX 4.

The unusual 156-card Topps Scoop set chronicled major historical events in a newspaper-inspired format, spanning subjects from politics and exploration to sports. Ruth is one of only a small number of baseball subjects included in the issue, with card #41 commemorating his historic 60-home-run season of 1927. Some examples were originally distributed with a scratch-off coating concealing portions of the card's design.

One of the most important figures in baseball history, Ruth transformed the game with his unprecedented power and retired with 714 career home runs, a record that stood for nearly four decades.
