1923 V100 Willard’s Chocolate Ty Cobb – BGS 1 – Canadian Issue (E.G.D. Collection)

Rare and highly collectible 1923 Willard’s Chocolate V100 Ty Cobb card professionally graded BGS 1, representing a scarce and historically important Canadian pre-war baseball issue featuring one of the game’s greatest legends.

Produced by Willard’s Chocolate of Canada, the V100 series is regarded as one of the toughest and most desirable Canadian regional baseball card issues of the 1920s. Surviving examples are scarce, particularly Hall of Fame subjects such as Ty Cobb.

One of baseball’s most iconic and competitive players, Cobb dominated the Deadball Era and remains Major League Baseball’s all-time leader in career batting average at .366. His cards continue to rank among the hobby’s most important pre-war collectibles.

This example has been professionally authenticated and encapsulated by Beckett Grading Services (BGS) with an overall grade of 1 Poor. Despite evident wear consistent with the assigned grade and delicate construction of the issue, the card retains strong visual appeal for an exceptionally scarce Canadian Cobb issue.

Authentication & Provenance
Professionally authenticated and graded BGS 1 Poor by Beckett Grading Services.

This card originates from the E.G.D. Collection, a long-held private collection assembled over many years featuring vintage baseball cards, pre-war tobacco and regional issues, autographed sports memorabilia, and historically significant sports collectibles.

Condition
Professionally graded BGS 1 Poor. Presents with visible creasing, surface wear, corner wear, toning, and age-related handling consistent with the assigned grade and fragile nature of the issue. Please refer to photographs and grading holder for complete condition details.
