1923-24 V145-1 William Paterson Hockey Near-Complete Set (34/40) - Aurel Joliat #14 Rookie PSA 1

Offered is an extensive 35-card collection from the scarce 1923-24 V145-1 William Paterson Hockey issue, featuring 34 different cards from the original 40-card set, including a duplicate of #40 Corb Denenny.

Issued during the formative years of the National Hockey League, the 40-card V145-1 set features many of the era's greatest players and represents one of the most significant Canadian hockey card releases of the 1920s.

The collection is highlighted by Hockey Hall of Famer Aurel Joliat #14, professionally graded PSA 1, along with Frank Nighbor #2, Clint Benedict #7, Sprague Cleghorn #11, Joe Malone #13, Babe Dye #23 and numerous other notable players from the era.

The collection is missing six cards: King Clancy #3, Howie Morenz #15, Bily Coutu #17, Georges Vezina #19, Jack Adams #24 and Bert Corbeau #25. The Clancy, Morenz, Vezina and Adams cards originated from this collection and are being offered individually elsewhere within this auction. Corbeau #25, the exceptionally scarce short-print card, has long represented the primary obstacle to completing the V145-1 issue.

Authentication
Aurel Joliat #14 has been professionally authenticated and graded PSA 1 by Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA). The remaining 34 cards have not been professionally authenticated or graded.

Condition
Aurel Joliat #14 is graded PSA 1 (Poor). The remaining cards are ungraded and exhibit varying degrees of age-related wear, including corner and edge wear, surface wear, creasing and discolouration. Please refer to photographs for complete condition details.
