1922 V61 Neilson's Chocolate Type 2 Ty Cobb - PSA PR 1

Offered here is a scarce 1922 V61 Neilson's Chocolate Type 2 Ty Cobb, professionally authenticated and graded PSA PR 1.

Issued in Canada by Neilson's Chocolate, the V61 set is a scarce multi-sport release featuring prominent athletes of the period. The Type 2 series is distinguished by its photographic design and Neilson's advertising reverse, making it a particularly interesting Canadian-issued card of one of baseball's earliest superstars.

Ty Cobb remains one of the defining players of the early 20th century. The Detroit Tigers legend won 12 American League batting titles, finished his career with a .366 batting average and was part of the inaugural Baseball Hall of Fame class in 1936.

This example presents particularly well for the assigned grade, retaining a strong full image of Cobb, well-defined borders and excellent overall visual presence for a century-old issue. The reverse retains the distinctive Neilson's Chocolate advertising text.
