Issued between 1909 and 1911 as part of the legendary T206 White Border series, this iconic pre-war release is widely considered one of the most important and recognizable baseball card sets ever produced. Johnny Evers was a cornerstone of the dominant Chicago Cubs dynasty of the early 1900s and is forever linked to baseball history through the immortal “Tinker to Evers to Chance” double-play trio. A brilliant defensive infielder and intelligent field general, Evers helped lead the Cubs to four National League pennants and World Series championships in 1907 and 1908. He was later inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1946.
