Issued between 1909 and 1911 as part of the legendary T206 White Border series, this iconic pre-war release remains one of the most celebrated baseball card sets ever produced. The set features many of baseball’s earliest superstars and Hall of Famers and continues to serve as the foundation of the vintage baseball card hobby.

Joe Tinker was a key member of the dominant Chicago Cubs dynasty of the early 1900s and is forever immortalized in baseball history through the famed “Tinker to Evers to Chance” double-play combination. The Cubs captured four National League pennants and consecutive World Series titles in 1907 and 1908 during Tinker’s tenure.

This example features the popular “Bat On Shoulder” variation, showcasing Tinker in a classic batting pose against a vibrant yellow background. The reverse displays a Polar Bear Scrap Tobacco advertisement, one of the hobby’s most recognizable and desirable T206 backs. Polar Bear-backed examples remain especially popular among collectors due to their distinct tobacco staining, scarcity relative to Sweet Caporal/Piedmont issues, and strong hobby following.
