1909-1911 T206 Joe Tinker Bat On Shoulder Tobacco Card - Polar Bear Back (E.G.D. Collection)
Historic & highly collectible T206 tobacco-era baseball card featuring Hall of Fame shortstop Joe Tinker of the Chicago Cubs, presented in the desirable Bat On Shoulder pose with scarce Polar Bear tobacco advertising reverse.
Issued between 1909 & 1911 as part of the legendary T206 White Border series, this iconic pre-war release remains one of the most celebrated baseball card sets ever produced. The set features many of baseball's earliest superstars & Hall of Famers & continues to serve as the foundation of the vintage baseball card hobby.
Joe Tinker was a key member of the dominant Chicago Cubs dynasty of the early 1900s & is forever immortalized in baseball history through the famed Tinker to Evers to Chance double-play combination. The Cubs captured four National League pennants & consecutive World Series titles in 1907 & 1908 during Tinker's tenure.
This example features the popular Bat On Shoulder variation, showcasing Tinker in a classic batting pose against a vibrant yellow background. The reverse displays a Polar Bear Scrap Tobacco advertisement, one of the hobby's most recognizable & desirable T206 backs. Polar Bear-backed examples remain especially popular among collectors due to their distinct tobacco staining, scarcity relative to Sweet Caporal/Piedmont issues, & strong hobby following.
The card remains ungraded & displays honest age-related wear while retaining strong overall visual appeal & attractive colour presentation.
